Tuesday and unemployed

Tuesday and looking for work; so many people is the same position I wonder how many actually get jobs a day and how many look at their checkbook and wonder how they will pay the next bill. I am blessed with God’s grace so I know that even with the problems that come to pass I will be able to move on through each and everyone. I am blessed to be able to have my 3 children, I am blessed to have a roof over our heads and food in our stomachs, I am blessed to have family and friends that love me, and I am blessed to know that every day is another day to have good things come my way.

Starting out a blog of me sitting at home working on my dissertation sounds rather boring, but if I don’t start somewhere or at some point will I ever start? I consider myself an organized procrastinator with three children in tow. I believe I should give a rundown of who I am, what I do, and what a 40+ single lady is doing blogging her life away. Well like so many others I can talk a person’s ear off and hopefully can find a way to make a difference in someone’s life in the mean time.

I find that being adopted, child of an Air Force pilot, traveled and lived in many places (stateside and abroad), both child and adult abuse having happened, and now divorced of seven years while maintaining sanity with three children (15, 13, & 10) has created a different life value system. I am working on a dissertation entitled, “A Phenomenological Qualitative Study on the lived experiences of Women Felons”.

Sitting here I have over the years wanted to write a book on abuse and how it changes a woman and also a book on how to move past divorce. So I decided the best thing for me to do is get further in debt by going back to school yet again. Working on my doctorate has been so interesting finding and meeting people who have been in trouble many years in the past and unable to find work or move beyond their troubles to those who have been successful even with a felony on their record. There has to be a difference? What could make these people end up on different paths, money, family, luck, education? So I have decided to work at helping find reasons and hopefully change some people’s ideology on how they view people.
